1979 Corvette For Sale

Code correct Corvette Dark Blue exterior, code correct Light Beige leather interior. Numbers matching 195hp 350ci engine, 4 speed manual transmission, posi rear-end. Originally assembled on December 12, 1978, this 1979 Corvette comes with the super-rare 4 speed manual transmission and few other power and convenience options, making this by default a considerably more reliable car than your average 1978-82 Corvette. All glass in this car shows a correct date code, including the windshield. The previous owner claims that this car has 77,274 original miles, which is quite possible judging by the overall wear on this car's original parts, although we have no documents to support that claim. This car's paint looks to be somewhat recent, and is in overall good condition. Exterior door handles look to be original GM with typical minor rubbing issues and some light pitting. Weatherstripping is older and in fair condition, as are the taillights, which show typical light cracking. This car wears rally wheels in good condition, with good to very good condition trim rings and center caps. Tires are raised white letter radials with an average of 9/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this 1979 Corvette shows a very good condition center console and dash pad, and good condition door panels. Armrests appear to be original and are weak in the typical areas. Gauges show some fading and good lenses. The presumably original factory leather seat covers in this car are in fair condition with splits in several areas. Believe it or not, the steering wheel installed in this car is correct as this is one of very few 1979 Corvettes that did not come with the tilt-n-tele option, and therefore came with the 1976 style steering wheel. GM seatbelts are in place, and are in fair to good condition. Original AM/FM radio is in place as well, and the carpet is in good condition. Storage bins show typical cracks in the frames. The numbers matching engine in this 1979 Corvette shows casting date November 27, 1978, and final assembly date December 1, 1978. Correct intake manifold, carburetor, and alternator are all in place. Ignition shielding is also present, and features a polished cover on top of it. Other under the hood additions include a chrome air cleaner lid, master cylinder cap, and valve covers. Other additions to this car include a dash mat and window tint. Air conditioning has been converted to R134a.. This is a VERY rare car due to its lack of factory options, so call us now! Features include 4 speed manual transmission, air conditioning, AM/FM radio, dual rear speakers, power antenna, sport mirrors, rear defrost, power steering, power brakes, leather seating surfaces.
